Getting Started

1Record your dictation

Click the microphone button on the home screen and speak naturally. CliniVoice AI supports continuous recording — you can speak for as long as needed. The timer shows your recording duration.

  • • Speak clearly but naturally — you do not need to spell out punctuation
  • • Mention the patient name and NHS/hospital number near the start
  • • Pause briefly between sections (e.g. history, examination, plan)

2Upload a file

Alternatively, upload an existing recording or document. Supported formats:

3Format the letter

After transcription, select your letter type from the dropdown and click Format Clinical Letter. Gemini AI structures the transcript into the correct clinical format. Review, edit, and export — it takes seconds.

CliniVoice AI includes 50+ clinical letter templates across specialties. The system auto-detects the appropriate template from your dictation, or you can select manually.

Clinical Prompts

The Clinical Prompts panel is built into Scribe as step 4. After transcribing, expand it to run 1,430+ specialist prompts — risk assessments, formulations, care plans, MHA documentation, referrals, and more.

Search by keyword (e.g. “capacity”, “safeguarding”, “MSE”) to find the right prompt. The panel auto-receives your transcript and patient details from the main Scribe form.

API / Integration

CliniVoice AI provides internal API endpoints for integration with NHS IT systems and custom workflows. Contact your IT team or CliniVoice support to arrange access.

Authentication: All API endpoints require a valid Supabase JWT token in the Authorization header. Obtain tokens via /api/auth or the Supabase client SDK.

FAQ

Is my patient data secure?
Yes. All data is processed in UK data centres and encrypted in transit and at rest. CliniVoice AI is GDPR compliant. Audio recordings are deleted immediately after transcription.
Can I use CliniVoice AI on my NHS computer?
CliniVoice AI runs in any modern web browser — no software to install. For NHS-managed devices, check with your IT department regarding access to third-party web tools.
How accurate is the transcription?
Whisper AI achieves 99%+ accuracy on clear clinical speech. Accuracy may be slightly lower with strong regional accents, background noise, or highly unusual drug names. Always review the transcript before formatting.
What if I need to edit the generated letter?
Click 'Edit letter' below the formatted output. The letter becomes editable inline — make any changes needed before copying or exporting.
Does the AI ever make clinical decisions?
No. CliniVoice AI formats and structures your dictation — it does not make clinical judgements, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. All clinical content comes from your dictation. Always review before filing in records.
Can my whole team use it?
Yes. The Team plan supports up to 5 users with a shared admin dashboard and audit log. Contact us for larger team plans.
